I am a strong believer in the Ferris Bueller school of thought:

“Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it”!

Family life can move on pretty quickly too: what I want to do is to pause and appreciate where your family is right now, to capture the bond with your baby that exists even before he or she is born, to preserve forever how tiny your newborn is in your hands, with snoozy newborn poses making way for eye contact and giggles as the baby grows older.  I offer studio portraits for babies up to 18 months and after that I encourage you to come outside for a photo shoot, to let your children run around in the great outdoors and capture colourful natural moments of you enjoying yourselves as a family.

I firmly believe that as parents we should also exist in photographs with and for our children.  I  have done extensive training in posing and lighting  and can promise you that if you trust me to photograph you, you will look amazing!  Your children will come looking for these portraits one day, it’s important you are in them.

My studio is based in Langley Park, a 10 minute drive from Durham city centre.  Shoots are by appointment only – I recommend booking soon after your 12 or 20 week scan for newborn shoots to ensure there is space in the diary for you.  Other shoots are generally booked up a couple of months in advance.  I can sometimes offer last -minute appointments if a baby is booked in and is late arriving, so please email me to check availability.

I am fully-insured and am CRB checked for the voluntary work I do at a local children’s hospice.

I am a founding member and photographer for the Butterfly Wishes Network, offering free photo shoots to families with children suffering life-shortening illnesses.
